I have searched high key photographs and after looking through some photos in this style I realise that it is a new technique that I haven't seen or noticed before. Out of the three photographs above my personal favourite is the one of the boats, I think this is because I like that it is unexpectedly bare for a photograph of a location. It draws the eyes to what the photographer wanted to capture. To me this photo creates two separate emotions, in one sense I feel it shows a very peaceful atmosphere with the whitened background and how the water is calm, in another sense I feel it portrays a sinister feeling with the background create a sense of for where the high key is hitting, also where it has it in black and white. Both emotions I have complement and highlight one another.
My least favourite photo would be the one of the girl, even though the photo is a very good example of how using high key lighting is used, as a photo I think its very plain and simple, it would be good to use for a beauty shoot to highlight the eyes but just as a photograph it is not my favourite.
