I chose a wooded area for my second personal shoot location for various reasons. One reason being that the sunlight from the morning, when I shot, would shine through the trees and create a lovely lighting effect for when I was shooting. There were also different objects where my model could lean, stand or perch on giving me different levels to each photograph. I wanted this shoot to feel like a fashion magazine shoot, I think this can be seen through my model and some of the shot types I have used.
Camera set up-
I used a different camera lens than my last shoot, for this lens the lowest focus point is F2.5. I had however decided to use F9 in this particular shoot because I wanted to try and bring in more texture to the background and with that an increased depth of field. I set the exposure to 1/160 and the ISO at 1600.
Photoshop-
I carried on using basic photoshop techniques to enhance the beauty aspects in this shoot. I used curves to change the lighting and give the image depth and levels. In some of the images I used a photo filter to add a warm orangey underlay to the images, I chose the warm orange tone because the surrounding such as the leaves on the floor and the trees has similar colours.
I feel that overall this shoot could have gone better. I liked the location and feel that the natural lighting, if managed on the camera in the correct way, could have looked really good coming through the trees highlighting the model, however this wasn't necessarily accomplished. I don't think that the images are terrible but the beauty could have been shown in a more obvious way. I feel theres places I could improve in this shoot.
